Does Education Kill Creativity?

Sir Ken Robinson thinks so, from this TED talk.

This hilarious discourse is all too painfully true, as I have found out in my brief educational career.  But the humour he uses kills a lot of the pain.

  1. Without education, one would turn up to be illiterate or to be a barbarian. As he might turn up to be illiterate, there would not be any creativity to mingle around.

With education, the knowledge is broadened, more arguments come in and that is the result of creativity since his mind run wild.

Conclusion: When he mentions whether education could bring about creativity, creativity indeed plays in his mind to cause him to be aware of it.
